Yellow-itis...Eight

I'm sorry...I can't stop myself. This whole yellow thing is out of control, I have yellow fever. There are many...and I mean mannnyyyy more yellow photos just waiting to be posted. Who knew? My first yellow post was taken off the farm...the rest were shot right here at This Old Yellow Farm. This might be my last yellow post (she says with an evil grin).

Project Yellow....Take Seven

I had my level out today to work on a little project. Dad

used to refer to someone who was a bit quirky as being

"half an apple off plumb". I tend to gravitate toward

folks who are just a bit quirky, they often amuse me

far more than those who always "behave".
Sometimes I want to look past the bubble, often the
picture is really pretty.
Project Yellow has been so much fun for me, I had no
idea how much I would enjoy it.
Thanks to all who left such kind comments,
you bloggers are pretty amazing people.

Project Yellow....Take Six

Spring has been slow to arrive, but tomorrow they're telling us that we could see seventy degrees...wahooo! Get out the croquet set, blend some fruity cocktails and fire up the BBQ.
Only one more Project Yellow to go, I have so many photos to choose from ...I can't decide!

Project Yellow.....Take Five

Project Yellow heads out to the Project Barn! It's a yellow-a-rama out there, it's where I can play. It's where we have the Pumpkin Carving Party and where we had the Christmas Wreath Making Party, hey man...any excuse for a party! It's where I arrange flowers, where I keep my garden seeds and make plant tags...where I stash my craft supplies. Vases for flower arranging on those ohhh-so-yellow shelves.

Project Yellow....Take Four

John Deere yellow...how could I not post it for Project Yellow?

For our first Christmas, The Husband gave me a JD riding lawn mower...

I was thrilled - honest...I wanted it more than diamonds, more than

anything that could have come in a Nordstrom's box.

That mower lasted more than 20 years, the above shot is of the seat of the

"new rider"...she's a beauty.

This one is much bigger than the little rider, it's for scooping up

feed with a big red bucket. A few years ago I got really good at

running this beast. Before that, I was rather skittish when it came

to running farm equipment, things changed here on the

farm and I accepted the responsibilities of feeding livestock.

The Husband wasn't around during the day so making

sure "the girls" got fed was up to me, I even got good at

backing up the tractor with a mixer wagon attatchment...

I was officially a farm chick.

Farm chicks need cool boots, olive green just doesn't cut it.

Project Yellow....Take Two

Slow Moving Vehicle? Let's go for No Moving Vehicle...the hay wagon is officially retired.

This is really fun. I'm a little frustrated because I'm not getting the best photos but hey...I'm workin' on it. Yesterday's Take One was about an hour away from the farm but I'm hoping to get the rest of the shots here on our property. I went for a walk this morning all over the farm and in the barns, there was yellow everywhere! I see a lot of yellow on labels so I don't think I'll post any of those, unless I just can't resist...that John Deere yellow is pretty tuff to ignore.

Project Yellow...Take One

I love checking out Anna Carson's Photography blog, she's an amazing photographer. She has a little thing going this week called Project Yellow. I didn't know about Project Yellow until I came home this evening...and looky here what I took a photo of today! This photo was taken about an hour away from This Old Farm.

Right here, right now, let's talk about how I'm no pro photographer...but I've gone from hardly taking a shot to having a whole lot of fun with my inexpensive digital camera.

So, I figured what the heck...I can do the no-pro version of PY...it should be fun!
