Orange Explosion

In a couple of days there will be an explosion of orange on my driveway...
Strangers will stop...slowwwwly drive in, pause for a few moments, and then leave.
It's OK...I can share - the poppies are only beautiful for a little while.
They don't like rain, they tend to drop their petals if they get too hot.
But it's worth it for the fabulous show they put on, even though it's brief.

It all started with one poppy transplanted from my moms.
They set seed, and multiplied,
over and over...
year after year...
and ta daaaaa...
it's a giant poppy party.

Ah yes, the poppies...mine are blooming too although I don't have as many as you. I have to be a bit brutal and dig them back or they would just take over my small flower beds...ciao

Your orange explosion is beautiful. I would get some but they would not like the desert. So I will just admire yours

They are gorgeous! I should plant one in my back field... and let it do it's thing! I wonder if I could keep Hubby from mowing it down though???

Hi, It's Mindy and at one time you told me you would like to adopt Taylor and Jade. They are now 17 and 16, I can't wait to see them, but am not quite sure how to take care of people of this age and independence. Sp for exchange of 2 poppies, I will give you them for one night. It might be for their best benefit, as I am in the middle of raising one 8 year old and two 6 year olds. They will probably be getting the better end of the deal. That is Taylor and Jade. Just kidding, but I know Taylor will remember you and love to see you and Tami, Max and Fam. also Cody The little man Kaemingk.
Your yard is amazing. Give us a call. Not sure yet when their schedules will allow them to visit, but we can't wait.
