L is for Landing

This hot air balloon landed in the field in front of the
cabin Saturday morning.
Seeing this hot air balloon drift by early in the morning is
something we always look forward to. Hearing the balloonist
fire the jets to gain height is also something we're used to,
but to see it land in the field in front of the cabin on Saturday
morning was a special treat.
The cabin is off the grid. No running water, no phone,
no power, no computer.
It's a place for peace and quiet, it's a place for reading books
and gazing out the window...for lingering over your morning coffee.
This summer we're planning to install a solar array. I was supposed
to order it last month. I've been unintentionally stalling...I wonder
if it's my inner hippie wanting to keep the place simple.

ABC photo challenge.

Wow. Not something we see around here in the city! How blessed to sit and linger with coffee. What else do you really need? Hee hee. Great photo today.

Glad you had a good trip and a nice time with family. I just bet you turned it into a buffet...

Gorgeous! I am so jealous. A hot air balloon drifted by my condo window today, but it was much smaller and said, "Happy Mother's Day" on the side.

It does look so very peaceful! I love the colors on the balloon and green of the grass. Great L photos!!
