Scan-a-rama

It all started with a new lap-top, followed by better internet service, which let to reading blogs, and then writing a blog, which made the purchase of a digital camera an absolute must-have for this gardener/blogger. Now? I need a scanner! I have boxes and boxes of photos. I love seeing old photos on the blogs that I read. Does anyone out there have a scanner that they love...or hate? I need shopping tips...can ya help me pick one out?

Hello and thanks for stopping by our blog. For us the digital camera and scanner arrived first and then we thought, "hey what else can we do with this technology? blogging!"

I'm looking forward to my son-in-law coming this weekend and putting me back in business with my printer/scanner.

I will ask my "puter guy". He helps me with my little business network. I've been thinking of getting one myself.

I actually have an all in one HP and I LOVE it. It scans really well and I have had no problems. I have had it since 2005 and it is still going strong. I just want a printer that does 12x12 now, but that is a ways off for me - so I am sticking with my old trusty one for now! :)

I am kinda back in action. Still a bit of a cold hanging on, but the kind that I can function with, so that is good! I will be back at work tomorrow! :)

We have an Epsom printer and copier and scanner all in one. If i read the owner's manual i would probably be amazed at what it can do...We got it with our Mac.

Hi Shelly! I have an HP all-in-one. I love the scanner, printer and copier feature. As far as printing pictures, I don't like it so much. It takes forever to print the picture. Have a good night. Lisa

It's me again. This is what my "puter guy" said:
If the scanner is just for
Photos, HP make a photo scanner for 149.00,

if you want a multi-purpose scanner get the HP Scanjet 5590 at 299.00

If you Want to go paperless get a Visioneer Scanner with Paper Port at 299.00

I went to the visioneer site, I think I'm going to get that one as soon as I figure out if I understand the software and as soon as one stinkin' client pays me on time.

Wow..thanks to everyone for their input, I really appreciate it. Today I met Big Heap (sometimes commenter) for lunch, and guess what he had in his trunk? A scanner that he doesn't use anymore. Wahooooo! Thanks Heap! Now I need to figure out how to use it. Ruh Roh

Thanks for the visit, Shelly. I have an HP 1510 all-in-one; scanner, printer, copier. It is great and the only problem I have had with it is that the ink cartridges seem to run out so quickly.
